CareWell Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Lead Clinical and Administrative team member for our urgent care centers in Worcester, MA. The Center Lead position is first line of support to the Center Manager. In absence of the Center Manager, the Lead is responsible for both clinical and administrative responsibilities within that day’s shift.
Full-Time Schedule: 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends Location: Greenwood Street & Lincoln Street - Worcester, MA
Job Summary:Under the supervision of the clinical Provider, the Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, IV/Blood draw, ECG, office diagnostic testing, x-ray prep, assisting with splinting/wound care and assisting in administering medications as directed by physician. Our Administrative team receives and registers patients arriving via patient walk in, gathering demographic and insurance information. Also assists patients with financial information, collecting and processing copays.
Duties and Responsibilities: Center Lead - tasks include but are not limited to:
Ensure smooth day to day operations of the center by communicating with team any changes in policies and procedures
Assist Center Manager in submission of inventory, supply orders, and logs. Assisting with training and onboarding of new employees
Inventory: Ensure system is being effectively used by staff, receive deliveries, and verify stock is managed
Confirm daily tasks are performed and appropriately logged, and ensure controls are run as scheduled on equipment and supplies
Clinical Tasks: Prepare patient for exam and treatment, taking histories and vital signs, perform phlebotomy and laboratory paperwork, dispense medication as directed, etc.
Administrative Tasks: Verify insurance coverage for patients and collect copayment when applicable, provide necessary forms to patients for completion and ensure all registration forms are accurate and scanned into patient's chart, answer calls, faxing forms, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to multitask between clinical and administrative tasks, with strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and recommend solutions
Demonstrate ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Knowledge of basic medical terminology, medical practice operations, and importance of providing exceptional patient care
Knowledge of computer functions and basic office equipment

Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
2-5 years of MA, EMT, CNA or LNA experience/certification
1-3 years of customer service experience in a medical practice
Proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and SharePoint
Experience with Experity and/or When2Work is preferred, but not required
Work Environment: This job operates in a medical office settingand includespossible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Full-Time employees work 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends.
Travel:No outside travel required.
